The work, in the order we do it.
Every engagement starts the same way and ends up somewhere different. What follows is the shape of it, not a package you have to buy whole. We take on practices in the UK, Australia and New Zealand — 3 to 20 staff, Xero as the primary ledger.
Find the hours
A half-day walkthrough of how work actually moves through your practice, run remotely in your working hours. We come out with one workflow worth automating first — usually the one you'd have named yourself.
Set it up properly
Account setup, data connections, templates, rules, permissions. Configured against your files and your chart of accounts — not a demo dataset.
Hand it over
Live sessions with the people who'll use it daily, run on your live work rather than a slide deck, and scheduled inside a UK working day or an Australian/New Zealand morning. Written notes afterwards for whoever joins next.
Keep it honest
Monthly review of what the tool got wrong, adjustments to rules and prompts, and a read on new vendor features worth turning on. Cancel whenever it stops earning its keep.
The track
Automated transaction categorisation, reconciliation rules, month-end close checklists, and client-facing reporting — built on Xero and the apps around it. We work through partner-first vendors that don't compete with your practice for its own clients.
What we don't do
We don't build new AI platforms, we don't sell you a model, and we don't take on work where an existing tool would do the job better than a custom build. If your problem is a process problem rather than a software problem, we'll tell you that at the audit and charge you for the half day.
We also don't touch tax filing, statutory returns, audit or payroll compliance — that stays with your own accountant, and we won't stretch the scope to pretend otherwise. And we don't work outside the UK, Australia and New Zealand. US and Canadian practices are a straight no from us, not a maybe.
